The Blessed Life

The Blessed life is the best life

Ephesians 1:2-4

New King James Version (NKJV)
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Redemption in Christ

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

We have already been blessed.

Every blessing is in the Heavenly places in Christ.

Ephesians 2:4-7

New King James Version (NKJV)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

We are seated in Heavenly places in Christ

Therefore, if we have been blessed and our blessing is in  the Heavenly places in Christ and we
are seated there, then the blessing is already ours.

Galatians 3:13-14

New King James Version (NKJV)
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[a]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Notice Paul said that Christ redeemed us from the curse so that the blesings of Abraham might come
upon us, the Gentiles.

The Blessing Of God Defined:God's supernautral empowerment coming upon your life to cause you to be able
to do What you could not do without it.

Genesis 1:28

New King James Version (NKJV)
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

The Blessing of God is capable and designed to do

The Blessing of God is Desighned to causre whoever will walk in it ro be fruitful and multiply. This is the Result:
not the blessing itself.

We need to note that Abraham had some possessions when he  left his Father 's house.

Genesis 12:5

New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.

Let's look at the end of Abraham's life to see the results:

Genesis 24:1

New King James Version (NKJV)

Genesis 24

A Bride for Isaac
1 Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Genesis 24:1

Today's New International Version (TNIV)

Genesis 24

Isaac and Rebekah
1 Abraham was now very old, and the LORD had blessed him in every way.

Genesis 24:34-36

New King James Version
34 So he said, “I am Abraham’s servant. 35 The LORD has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys. 36 And Sarah my master’s wife bore a son to my master when she was old; and to him he has given all that he has.

How to walk in the the blessing of God To pull people out of the curse and bring them over to the BLESSED LIFE
We can see four truths in Abraham's life that enabled him to walk in the blessings of God:

1)Abraham learned from the beginning the God's blessing in his life was truly not about him but was to bless someone else.

Genesis 12

New King James Version (NKJV)

Genesis 12:1-3

Promises to Abram
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:

      “Get out of your country,
      From your family
      And from your father’s house,
      To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation;
      I will bless you
      And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
      And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
2)Abraham was a worshipper of God.

Genesis 12

New King James Version

Genesis 12

Promises to Abram
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:

      “Get out of your country,
      From your family
      And from your father’s house,
      To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation;
      I will bless you
      And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
      And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Genesis 12:7-8(NKJV)

7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him. 8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.

Genesis 13:18

New King James Version (NKJV)
18 Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre,[a] which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

3)Abraham was a tither.

Genesis 14:18-20

New King James Version (NKJV)
Abram and Melchizedek

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

“ Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
And he gave him a tithe of all.
4)Abraham had an obedient and generous heart.

Gesesis 22:15-18
(NKJV)
15 Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Abraham  was willing to generously give to God what meant the most to him and that was his only Son Isaac.

Because of this, we see the blessing of the Lord coming on his life in a great way because Abraham obeyed the voice of God.

If we really want to walk in the blessed life that Jesus has already provided for us,then  we are going to have  to do these
things:

1.)Realize your life being blessed  is not about you.
2.)Be a worshipper of God and willing to sacrifice whatever He asks for.
3.)Be a tither giving the first tenth to the Lord of everything that we receive.
4.)Be willing to instantly obey the voice of God and Live a obedient and generous life.

Romans 12

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Romans 12

1I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.    2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
3For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
4For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use,
5So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another].
    6Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy, [let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith;
    7[He whose gift is] practical service, let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his teaching;
8He who exhorts (encourages), to his exhortation; he who contributes, let him do it in simplicity and liberality; he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness.
9[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good.
10Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another.
11Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.
12Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.
13Contribute to the needs of God's people [sharing in the necessities of the saints]; pursue the practice of hospitality.
14Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them.
15Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others' joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others' grief].
16Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.
17Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.
18If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
19Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God's] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord.
20But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.
21Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.

Daily Devotion

Galatians 3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Galatians 3

1O YOU poor and silly and thoughtless and unreflecting and senseless Galatians! Who has fascinated or bewitched or cast a spell over you, unto whom--right before your very eyes--Jesus Christ (the Messiah) was openly and graphically set forth and portrayed as crucified?    2Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying the Law and doing its works, or was it by hearing [the message of the Gospel] and believing [it]? [Was it from observing a law of rituals or from a message of faith?]
3Are you so foolish and so senseless and so silly? Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh?
4Have you suffered so many things and experienced so much all for nothing (to no purpose)--if it really is to no purpose and in vain?
5Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully and miraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] what the Law demands, or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on the message that you heard?
6Thus Abraham believed in and adhered to and trusted in and relied on God, and it was reckoned and placed to his account and credited as righteousness (as conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action).
7Know and understand that it is [really] the people [who live] by faith who are [the true] sons of Abraham.
8And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify (declare righteous, put in right standing with Himself) the Gentiles in consequence of faith, proclaimed the Gospel [foretelling the glad tidings of a Savior long beforehand] to Abraham in the promise, saying, In you shall all the nations [of the earth] be blessed.
9So then, those who are people of faith are blessed and made happy and favored by God [as partners in fellowship] with the believing and trusting Abraham.
10And all who depend on the Law [who are seeking to be justified by obedience to the Law of rituals] are under a curse and doomed to disappointment and destruction, for it is written in the Scriptures, Cursed (accursed, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment) be everyone who does not continue to abide (live and remain) by all the precepts and commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them.
11Now it is evident that no person is justified (declared righteous and brought into right standing with God) through the Law, for the Scripture says, The man in right standing with God [the just, the righteous] shall live by and out of faith and he who through and by faith is declared righteous and in right standing with God shall live.
12But the Law does not rest on faith [does not require faith, has nothing to do with faith], for it itself says, He who does them [the things prescribed by the Law] shall live by them [not by faith].
    13Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);
14To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit.
15To speak in terms of human relations, brethren, [if] even a man makes a last will and testament (a merely human covenant), no one sets it aside or makes it void or adds to it when once it has been drawn up and signed (ratified, confirmed).
16Now the promises (covenants, agreements) were decreed and made to Abraham and his Seed (his Offspring, his Heir). He [God] does not say, And to seeds (descendants, heirs), as if referring to many persons, but, And to your Seed (your Descendant, your Heir), obviously referring to one individual, Who is [none other than] Christ (the Messiah).
17This is my argument: The Law, which began 430 years after the covenant [concerning the coming Messiah], does not and cannot annul the covenant previously established (ratified) by God, so as to abolish the promise and make it void.
18For if the inheritance [of the promise depends on observing] the Law [as these false teachers would like you to believe], it no longer [depends] on the promise; however, God gave it to Abraham [as a free gift solely] by virtue of His promise.
19What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added [later on, after the promise, to disclose and expose to men their guilt] because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the promise had been made. And it [the Law] was arranged and ordained and appointed through the instrumentality of angels [and was given] by the hand (in the person) of a go-between [Moses, an intermediary person between God and man].
20Now a go-between (intermediary) has to do with and implies more than one party [there can be no mediator with just one person]. Yet God is [only] one Person [and He was the sole party in giving that promise to Abraham. But the Law was a contract between two, God and Israel; its validity was dependent on both].
21Is the Law then contrary and opposed to the promises of God? Of course not! For if a Law had been given which could confer [spiritual] life, then righteousness and right standing with God would certainly have come by Law.
22But the Scriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so that [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to [all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him].
23Now before the faith came, we were perpetually guarded under the Law, kept in custody in preparation for the faith that was destined to be revealed (unveiled, disclosed),
24So that the Law served [a][to us Jews] as our trainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith.
25But now that the faith has come, we are no longer under a trainer (the guardian of our childhood).
26For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.
27For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union and communion with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ.
28There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male [b]and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise.

Devotionals with Casting Crowns Mark Hall - Part 8

Daily Devotionals

Read and spend some time in James chapter 1

James 1

Amplified Bible (AMP)

James 1

1JAMES, A servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes scattered abroad [among the Gentiles in the dispersion]: Greetings ([a]rejoice)!    2Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
3Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
4But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.
5If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of [b]the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.
6Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.
7For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord,
8[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].
9Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his elevation [as a Christian, called to the true riches and to be an heir of God],
10And the rich [person ought to glory] in being humbled [by being shown his human frailty], because like the flower of the grass he will pass away.
11For the sun comes up with a scorching heat and parches the grass; its flower falls off and its beauty fades away. Even so will the rich man wither and die in the midst of his pursuits.
12Blessed (happy, [c]to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor's] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.
13Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.
14But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).
15Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.
16Do not be misled, my beloved brethren.
17Every good gift and every perfect ([d]free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
18And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself].
19Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry.
20For man's anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires].
21So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
22But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
    23For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror;
24For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like.
25But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).
26If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless (futile, barren).
27External [e]religious worship [[f]religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.

and even when your mind is battling faith   your faith can still continue to grow and expand  until your mind  comes to subjection in your spirit
Hope is a product of your mind and its in you mind that you have hope without  hope your faith will not work because

Hebrews 11:1

Faith is a product of your spirit its the explosive power of God that is resident in your spirit that will reach up and grab a hold of hope
Faith is a building block that takes your hope and transforms it to reality Hope  is the object of your Faith

Hope is a picture in your mind based on the promises of God of what you expect to receive from God

you can have a picture in your mind that's not of God this is not hope this is imagination   there is a difference between hope and imagination    you can have a picture in your mind that is based on  your  circumstances and it can be a negative imagination hope is  not negative hope is not based on what you see, hear or feel it is based on the promises  of God  hope is always positive
Hope will give your faith something to work with to bring into reality

Hebrews 11

By Faith We Understand
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Romans 4:18

Amplified Bible (AMP)
18[For Abraham,  human reasonfor] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.

Notice human reason is gone
Many times in our life human reason is gone in our life and  in our economic situation in this nation
It seem like there is not a lot of hope in our economy
there seem like there is not a lot of hope in many places and we do need a miracle and we do need to vote and become involved but we must not lose our hope for destiny for our life's and  for our nation we must not lose hope of the promises of God to proper its not contention on where you live
So here is Abraham he had  no human reason to hope he was a old man.God had given him a promise years before and now years had past and Sarah could no longer have children  she had past the age of child bearing and Abraham was a old man but he did not stop hoping he never lost that picture in his mind even when there was no human reason for him to continue to hope. You might have a child, relative, or a loved one it seems like  they will never  get saved and come to Jesus and come to Jesus but let me announce  to you don't give up hope hold on to the word of God  the word of God said all of your children will be disciples to the Lord always Obedient to his voice  of the Lord and Great will  be your children . It does not  say oh woe is me your child will go to hell there is nowhere in the bible that says that. Every verse that talks about  your children as an over comer possessing that gates of their  enemy loving the Lord returning to their own boarders. It the same way with you mate you can believe  the unbelieving  is sanctified     and know your mate is going to follow  the Lord . The bible said they are sanctified  by your own behavior  if you are a believing wife .. I believe it goes the other way around to. The believing husband can sanctify the unbelieving wife to.
So Abraham had no human reason to hope when and reason can't give you hope when your  job can't
give you hope when your bank account can't give you hope when your job can't give you hope you got to hope on it.
Trust God to heal you hope will not only witness to you hope will witness to everyone around you because hope gives substance to your Faith. So  here is Abraham's human reason for hope being gone he continued to hope in Faith he continued to give something to his Faith substance to his Faith he believed and  his hope was based on the promises of God that he would receive the promise it was not based on circumstances it wasn't based on it wasn't based on what he wanted personally it was based on what God said.
Hope in the dictionary means a happy expectation for good but the kind hope hope God wants from you is beyond that  hope is a happy expectation that crates a picture in your mind and you know what you can expect to receive from God because it is based  on the promises of God. Now listen to what else Abraham did not weaken in his Faith when he considered the otter importance in his own body he was good as dead because he was about 100 years old  when he considered the bearingness of Sarah's womb. Notice the word consider hope is of you mind there is a battle that goes on when you creating hope in your mind there are things that will change hope in your mind there are times your natural weakness will say to your spirit you can get rid of that picture image you are never going to see yourself well expect the illness in your body NO it does not say that in the word of God . Abraham did not let what people say get in the way he did not weaken  in his faith he believed what he had received from God. When challenges came he stopped    and began to give glory to God and he didn't weaken
we must not lose our hope  don't give up  hope
Hope is based on the promise of God
If you begin to dwell on the negative if you begin to dwell on what the doctors says on what the natural vision says if you begin to dwell  on thous things   then unbelief will begin to creep in.
How do you get of it you got to step into worship you   got to believe and begin  to praise the Lord  and then Faith will rise up to meet your hope.

Romans 4:19-21

Amplified Bible (AMP)
19He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb.
20No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
21Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.

There is a Scripture that actually gives you recipe for hope Romans chapter 15 hope is a lancing pad  for your destiny God gives you pictures in your mind of potential based on your promise of God and Sometimes we think the potential is beyond us don't say that

Psalm 1

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Psalm 1

BOOK ONE
1[a]BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.    2But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
4Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.
5Therefore the wicked [those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor [b]sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God].
6For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God's will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).

Why Jesus - Casting Crowns Mark Hall

KLOVE

“Why should I follow Jesus?” The reality is, God loves you. He wants you to experience abundant peace and eternal life. He loves you so much that He sacrificed His only son to die for your sins.

That’s great that God loves me, but why should I follow Him?
God did not make robots to automatically love and obey Him. He gave you free will and a choice. All too often, this free will causes a separation from God due to disobedience.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. - Romans 3:23

The Solution

The good news is that you matter to God. He’s given an avenue for forgiveness where you can restore your relationship with Him. He gave His son Jesus to pay the death penalty by sending Him to the cross and raising Him from the grave.

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. - 1 Peter 3:18

So, now what?

It’s not enough to just know about this, or even agree with it. Act on it.
  1. Humbly admit to God that you need His forgiveness
  2. Confess that Jesus is Lord and that He alone can save you
  3. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead to pay for your sins
STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9

Key to Discipleship(Christain)

Living the Christian Life

The Bible says that you are a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17) when you decide to follow Christ. Your old "self" is gone, and the new is here. As a result, we want to help you grow in your faith and in your knowledge of Jesus by providing you with some tips:
  1. Read the Bible Daily
The Bible is God’s inspired instruction manual for us. It has many answers to help you live a life that pleases God. A good place to start is in the New Testament with the Gospel of Luke. The book of Acts is a great follow up; it contains the exciting story of how Christ’s disciples spread the Good News about His death, burial and resurrection.

As you read, ask God to give you understanding and wisdom: Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your law (Psalm 119:18). Think about what you read: study and analyze it. Write down questions you have and ask a mature Christian to help clarify your understanding.

  2. Pray with God Daily
Talk with God often. Talk over your problems with Him. Thank Him for who He is and what He has done for you. Confess your sins to Him and admit your weaknesses. Ask God to help show you how to live a life that pleases Him. Pray for others, that they too may choose to follow Jesus Christ as their Savior and give Him the leadership of their lives.

  3. Depend on the Holy Spirit The Bible teaches that now that you have chosen to follow Christ, the Holy Spirit actually lives within you (Romans 5:5; John 14:16-17). The Holy Spirit will teach you, guide you, and strengthen you in times of need.

  4. Attend Church Regularly
When you became a Christian, you began an authentic personal relationship with Jesus. However, it is important to also have authentic connections with other Christians. In a fireplace, many logs burn together creating heat and warmth, but a log by itself quickly dies out. Likewise, we too need the fellowship of other believers to keep our faith vibrant and growing. The Church is a place where you can worship God and make Him the focus of your life.

  5. Be of Service to Others
Jesus tells us repeatedly to give our lives to serve Him, and to serve others. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life (Mark 8:35). The more you give yourself in service to others, the more you will enjoy your Christian life.

  6. Conquer Your Doubts
At times you may doubt that you really are a Christian. Perhaps you have failed or surrendered repeatedly to temptation. Remember, you were not saved because of how good of a person you are, but by putting your trust in what Christ has already done for you. Trust the truth found in God’s Word over your own subjective feelings. I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life (I John 5:13).
  7. Live One Day at a Time
Too often we become anxious about what might happen tomorrow. The Bible promises that God will meet our needs, if only we will seek first His righteousness (see Matthew 6:33-34). God’s grace will be sufficient to meet the challenges that each new day brings.

  8. Learn How to Deal with Temptation
Temptation is a part of life. It was an issue before you became a Christian, it still will be. You do not, however, have to yield to temptation to sin. The Bible says, God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Be prepared to take advantage of God’s “way out” of temptation, whether it means that you “flee” the scene of temptation (I Timothy 6:11), or that you stay on the scene and “resist” it (James 4:7; I Peter 5:8-9).

  9. Tell Others About Jesus
Sharing with others about your new life in Jesus--by word or by action--can be one of the most satisfying and exciting experiences you have ever had. The Bible encourages us to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have (I Peter 3:15).

Philippians 2

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Philippians 2

1SO BY whatever [appeal to you there is in our mutual dwelling in Christ, by whatever] strengthening and consoling and encouraging [our relationship] in Him [affords], by whatever persuasive [a]incentive there is in love, by whatever participation in the [Holy] Spirit [we share], and by whatever depth of affection and compassionate sympathy,    2Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention.
3Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].
4Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.
5Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]
6Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [[b]possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not [c]think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped [d]or retained,
7But stripped Himself [of all privileges and [e]rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.
8And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!
9Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has [f]freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,
10That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee [g]should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11And every tongue [[h]frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, [i]with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).
13[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while [j]effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and [k]delight.
14Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [[l]against God] and [m]questioning and doubting [among yourselves],
15That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guiltless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world,
16Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.
17Even if [my lifeblood] must be poured out as a libation on the sacrificial offering of your faith [to God], still I am glad [to do it] and [n]congratulate you all on [your share in] it.
18And you also in like manner be glad and [o]congratulate me on [my share in] it.
19But I hope and trust in the Lord Jesus soon to send Timothy to you, so that I may also be encouraged and cheered by learning news of you.
20For I have no one like him [no one of so kindred a spirit] who will be so genuinely interested in your welfare and devoted to your interests.
21For the others all seek [to advance] their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
22But Timothy's tested worth you know, how as a son with his father he has toiled with me zealously in [serving and helping to advance] the good news (the Gospel).
23I hope therefore to send him promptly, just as soon as I know how my case is going to turn out.
24But [really] I am confident and fully trusting in the Lord that shortly I myself shall come to you also.
25However, I thought it necessary to send Epaphroditus [back] to you. [He has been] my brother and companion in labor and my fellow soldier, as well as [having come as] your special messenger (apostle) and minister to my need.
26For he has been [homesick] longing for you all and has been distressed because you had heard that he was ill.
27He certainly was ill [too], near to death. But God had compassion on him, and not only on him but also on me, lest I should have sorrow [over him] [p]coming upon sorrow.
28So I have sent him the more willingly and eagerly, that you may be gladdened at seeing him again, and that I may be the less disquieted.
29Welcome him [home] then in the Lord with all joy, and honor and highly appreciate men like him,
30For it was through working for Christ that he came so near death, risking his [very] life to complete the deficiencies in your service to me [which distance prevented you yourselves from rendering].

This is my family and me at the top
