Scripture
===============
James 1:2-4 (KJV)
---------------
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Scripture
===============
James 1:13 (KJV)
---------------
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Scripture
===============
James 1:17 (KJV)
---------------
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Notes
===============
God is not doing bad things to people nor does He work with the devil to discipline His children.
Scripture
===============
1 Peter 1:7 (KJV)
---------------
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Scripture
===============
1 Peter 4:12 (KJV)
---------------
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Notes
===============
Gold is a precious metal because it is a rare commodity.
Scripture
===============
I Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
---------------
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Flee from Idolatry
Notes
===============
Paul says that temptations are common but Peter says faith is precious and rare.
Notes
===============
Just like you have to dig for gold, you have to dig for faith because faith is rare.
Notes
===============
Trials do not create great faith.
Notes
===============
Trials will not destroy your faith. Your faith gets destroyed when you do not use it.
Notes
===============
Faith in God's Word will always contain the power through God to overcome any trial.
Notes
===============
The temptations or trials will never overcome your faith unless you don't use it.
Notes
===============
Trials do not build your faith; they just give you an opportunity to exercise your faith and as you exercise your faith, your faith gets stronger.
Scripture
===============
Daniel 3:4-6 (KJV)
---------------
Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
Notes
===============
God's power can only help us when we use our faith because faith is what releases that help into our situation.
Scripture
===============
Daniel 3:16-18 (KJV)
---------------
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Scripture
===============
Isaiah 43:1-2 (KJV)
---------------
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Scripture
===============
Hebrews 11:33-34 (KJV)
---------------
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Notes
===============
We are standing on God's Word and His faithfulness and know we will come out on the other side better off than when all this started.
Scripture
===============
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
---------------
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Scripture
===============
Isaiah 54:4 (NKJV)
---------------
“Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
Scripture
===============
Isaiah 61:7 (NKJV)
---------------
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
Scripture
===============
Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)
---------------
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Concluding Religious Directions
Notes
===============
If you will resist the devil in faith, then it will make him sorry for ever bothering you because God will turn the trial back on him.
Notes
===============
If you will learn to stand in faith in a trial, you will not just get back what had before; you will get back MORE than what you had before.
