Reading the Bible daily is more than a habit—it’s a way to draw closer to God, understand His heart, and find peace in His promises. Whether you’re reading for the first time or the tenth, God meets us in His Word with fresh grace and truth.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105

Aaron Shust - My Hope Is In You

🌟 Devotional: My Hope Is In You
📖 “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God…” – Psalm 42:11
In seasons of uncertainty, pain, or waiting, it’s easy to feel shaken. But Aaron Shust’s song “My Hope Is In You” is a beautiful reminder that our hope isn’t found in circumstances—it’s found in Christ.
Written by April Geesbreght and recorded during a deeply personal time in Shust’s life, the song became a declaration of faith. While his young son battled a painful and seemingly incurable condition, Shust clung to God’s promises. Miraculously, his son was healed, and the song became a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
🎶 “I won’t be shaken by drought or storm / A peace that passes understanding is my song / And I sing…”
This song invites us to trust in God even when the answers don’t come right away. It reminds us that peace isn’t the absence of trouble—it’s the presence of God.
🙏 Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being our refuge and strength. In the middle of life’s storms, when fear and doubt try to take hold, help us to remember that our hope is in You. Teach us to trust You more deeply, to rest in Your promises, and to sing even when the night is long.
We place our hearts, our families, and our futures in Your hands.
Amen.

🌟 Devotional: Star of Wonder – Following the Light of Christ
📖 “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.” – Matthew 2:10
The star that led the wise men to Jesus was more than a celestial sign—it was a symbol of hope, direction, and divine promise. In the song “Star of Wonder,” we’re reminded of the light that guides us through darkness, leading us to the Savior.
As we journey through life, we often face uncertainty, questions, and seasons of wandering. But just like the wise men, we are invited to follow the light of Christ—His Word, His Spirit, His love.
🎶 “Star of wonder, star of night / Star with royal beauty bright…”
This Christmas, let’s fix our eyes on the true Light. Let’s seek Him with all our hearts, trusting that He will lead us to peace, purpose, and joy.
🙏 A Christmas Prayer for Families
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being the Light in our darkness. As we celebrate Your birth, help us to follow You with faith and joy. Guide our families, our decisions, and our hearts. May we be like the wise men—willing to journey far to worship You.
Shine Your light in our homes and lead us closer to You each day.
Amen.

🎶 Devotional Reflection: Where I Belong
📖 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 3:20
This powerful anthem reminds us that our true home is not here on earth—it’s with Jesus. In a world full of distractions and temporary comforts, “Where I Belong” calls us to fix our eyes on eternity and live with purpose and hope.
🎵 “All I know is I’m not home yet / This is not where I belong / Take this world and give me Jesus…”
Let this song be a reminder that no matter what you face today, your identity and future are secure in Christ.

Hit Your Tarket in 2012
🎯 Hit Your Target in 2012 – Living by Faith with Purpose
📖 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Faith is more than belief—it’s action. It’s movement toward something God has placed in your heart. But faith needs direction. It needs a target.
Pastor Brad’s message reminds us that faith must have something to put substance to—goals and objectives that align with God’s vision for our lives.
✍️ Write the Vision
📖 “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” – Habakkuk 2:2
God calls us to live by faith, but He also calls us to write down the vision. Vision is God’s big picture for your life. Goals are the steps that move you toward that vision.
🛤️ Press Toward the Goal
📖 “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14
Paul didn’t just hope—he pressed. He pursued with diligence. We must break down our high calling into attainable goals that keep us moving forward.
📌 Scriptural Priorities in Goal Setting
- Your personal relationship with God
- Your marriage and children
- Your local church and spiritual community
- Your job or occupation
- Your social and recreational life
These priorities help you stay aligned with God’s purpose and make His ability available to accomplish your goals.
🧭 Guidelines for Setting Effective Goals
- Don’t confuse the goal with the reward
- Make your goals about serving others (Mark 10:43–44)
- Count the cost (Luke 14:28)
- Write down your goals and review them daily (Habakkuk 2:2)
- Use the SMART method:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Realistic
- Timely
🙏 Prayer for Direction and Diligence
Lord, thank You for giving me a vision for my life. Help me to walk by faith, not just in belief, but in action. Teach me to set goals that honor You and serve others. Give me wisdom, discipline, and courage to press toward the high calling You’ve placed on my life. Amen.
