The Blessed Life -Part 2
It's All About the Heart
The Blessed Life is the best Life
I am Blessed already I am not trying to get get blessed though Jesus and what he did for me I am Blessed in Jesus name .
Matthew 7:1-2
New King James Version (NKJV)
Matthew 7
Do Not Judge
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.The subject of these two verses is "judgment" or "judging."
There is nothing in these two verses about money. The word "money" is even used in the verses.
the root word of forgive is giving then you are for-giving Giving is much greater then money
Jugging is about the heart forgiveness is about the heart forgiveness is about the heart loving somebody is about the heart giving is about the heart
Luke 6:37-38
New King James Version (NKJV)
Do Not Judge
37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
The simple truth that Jesus is giving us is that in God"s economy.whatever you give you will receive back and you always get back more than you give.
Good measure ,pressed down and shaken together.....
Where we miss it when we are ministering this verse of scripture is that we teach it as the motive for giving when it is only the reward for giving.
Luke 6:30
New King James Version (NKJV)
30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
Luke 6:35
New King James Version (NKJV)
35 But love your
enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your
reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is
kind to the unthankful and evil.
What Jesus did teaching us is that we should give to give and not give to get.
This is work in our hearts that God wants to do.
God does not bless money. He blesses the giver that gives with the right heart.
When you give because you want to help people and further God's Kingdom; that is the giving heart that God blesses.
The whole reason God has Invented giving is not for His benefit. He does not need it.
Giving deals with our hearts and the selfishness and greed that may in our hearts and helps us to get rid of it.
The blessed life is all about the heart!!!
There are two things that we are going to have to deal with and two things we are going to have to develop if we are going to live the blessed life:
Deuteronomy 15:7-15
New King James Version (NKJV)
Generosity to the Poor
7 “If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, 8 but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. 9 Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cry out to the LORD against you, and it become sin among you. 10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. 11 For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’
The Law Concerning Bondservants
12 “If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you. 13 And when you send him away free from you, you shall not let him go away empty-handed; 14 you shall supply him liberally from your flock, from your threshing floor, and from your winepress. From what the LORD your God has blessed you with, you shall give to him. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.
1. Deal With A Selfish Heart
Deuteronomy 15:9
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 Beware lest there be
a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of
release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and
you give him nothing, and he cry out to the LORD against you, and it
become sin among you.
Notice God considers selfishness as wicked . We were all born selfish. One of the first words we learn is "mine."
2.Deal With A Grieving Heart
Deuteronomy 15:10
New King James Version (NKJV)
10 You shall surely
give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him,
because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your
works and in all to which you put your hand.
Selfishness attacks before we give and grief attacks us after we give.
The reason that we grieve over money that we give is because we thought that it was ours. All of the money we have belongs to God. When He asks for it, we respond immediately.
3. Develop A Generous Heart
Deuteronomy 7:14
New King James Version (NKJV)
14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock.
We must come to a place that we give generously when we give
To give generously is to give more than the need.
.4.Develop A Grateful heart
Deuteronomy 7:15
New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And the LORD will
take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the
terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And the LORD will
take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the
terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
Gratitude is what produces generously.
One of the main reasons we are not generous in our lives is because we have gotten over being saved.
God really does want you to live a blessed life so that you can be a blessing.
