Scripture
===============
Job 42:12 (NKJV)
---------------
Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.
Notes
===============
God wants the latter part of your life to be more blessed than the first part.
Notes
===============
Some things to understand about Job and the book about his life:
1. Job is the oldest book in the Bible and therefore, Job had no written record to refer to learn about God.
2. Even though he lived at about the same time that Isaac and Jacob lived, he was not part of God’s chosen covenant family or people.
3. Job was an extremely rich man even according to our standards today.
4. His trial only lasted about 6 to nine months in a lifetime of that was between 200 and 250 years.
Notes
===============
Don’t ever give up on the God that will never give up on you!
Notes
===============
1.  Life is hard!
Notes
===============
Job experienced real pain:
• Emotional Pain – the loss of his kids
• Financial Pain – loss of everything materially
• Relational Pain – there was tension in his marriage and with his “friends”
• Physical Pain – he experienced sickness, disease, and real physical pain
• Spiritual Pain – he was at times greatly confused and frustrated with God
Scripture
===============
John 16:33 (NIV)
---------------
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Notes
===============
2.  God is still God and God is still good!
Notes
===============
Are we going to allow our circumstances to affect our theology or are we going to allow our theology to affect our circumstances?
Scripture
===============
Job 19:25-27 (NKJV)
---------------
For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
Scripture
===============
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
---------------
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Notes
===============
3.  Don't give up!
Scripture
===============
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NLT)
---------------
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
Scripture
===============
Job 42:12 (NKJV)
---------------
Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.
Notes
===============
Don’t ever give up on the God that will never give up on you!
