Ideal Family - Part 4

Notes
===============
God gave structures to people to help us to stay on track and to have order in our lives.

Notes
===============
The first structure God created is the Family.

Scripture
===============
Genesis 1:27-28 (NKJV)
---------------
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Notes
===============
The second structure that God created is Government.

Scripture
===============
Genesis 9:6 (NKJV)
---------------
“Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.

Scripture
===============
Romans 13:1 (NIV)
---------------
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Scripture
===============
Romans 13:4 (NIV)
---------------
For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Notes
===============
The third structure God created is the Church.

Scripture
===============
I Corinthians 12:18 (NKJV)
---------------
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

Notes
===============
If you are not “fixed or set” in a church, and you know you should be, then it could be you have resisted the work that God wanted to do in your life.

Notes
===============
You are not “fixed or set” in anything until you have gone through something that you did not like and you did not bail and run right away, and stuck it out until the problem got fixed or worked out.

Notes
===============
Nothing has to be perfect for you to stay.

Notes
===============
All great relationships are relationships that go through fire and difficulty.

Scripture
===============
Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV)
---------------
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

Notes
===============
This is what the Church (which includes all of us) is supposed to do:

•       Perfecting or maturing of the saints
•       The work of the ministry
•       The edifying or building of the Body of Christ

Notes
===============
These are the three institutions (structures) that God created (Family, Church, and Government) in order to help us and if we blow any of them off, it is going to hurt us.

Notes
===============
Structure is a gift from God to us. We need to learn to flow with the structure so that the structure can be the BLESSING to us that it is designed to be.

Notes
===============
Correction is an operation of God Himself and in simple terms is designed to bring us back to structure.

Notes
===============
When we strike out at the structure and don’t follow the structure, if it is functioning properly, correction should be what comes back.

Scripture
===============
Proverbs 29:15 (NKJV)
---------------
The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.

Scripture
===============
Proverbs 29:17 (NKJV)
---------------
Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul.

Scripture
===============
Romans 13:2 (NKJV)
---------------
Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

Scripture
===============
II Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)
---------------
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Scripture
===============
2 Timothy 4:2 (NIV)
---------------
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

Scripture
===============
Galatians 6:1 (NIRV)
---------------
Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who are guided by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too.

Notes
===============
All correction is painful.

Notes
===============
Many think incorrectly, that if correction was right, we would like it.

Scripture
===============
Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV)
---------------
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Renew Your Spiritual Vitality

Notes
===============
Correction is more than just words.

Scripture
===============
Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)
---------------
And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Bondservants and Masters

Notes
===============
Chastening (Greek: “Paideia”) denotes the training of a child including physical discipline.

Notes
===============
Admonition (Greek: “Nouthesia”) which means “putting in mind.”

Notes
===============
“Nouthesia” (admonition) is training by word whereas “Paideia” (chastening) is training by act.

Notes
===============
If you will learn how to correct yourself, you can avoid correction by others.

Scripture
===============
I John 3:18-20 (NKJV)
---------------
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Notes
===============
Simply put, when we blow it we know it!

Notes
===============
To simply ask for forgiveness and not correct ourselves is not true repentance and does not bring about change in our lives.

Notes
===============
You do not get into trouble when you get caught. You get into trouble when you do wrong. When you get caught, it is the first step to getting out of trouble.

Notes
===============
When we correct others, it is not something we do “to” them but something we do “for” them.

Notes
===============
When we correct ourselves, it is not something we do “to” ourselves but something we do “for” ourselves.
